Turquoise Green Cheek Conures Parrots

The average lifespan expectancy of green cheek conure is typically 10 years in captivity under poor supervision. But they can live above 25 to 30 years in captivity when they are well care for. Male green cheek conure usually exhibits a longer lifespan than females. Females pass through a variety of hormonal changes during their whole life that reduces their lifetime.

They are colorful birds with dark grey or tan heads. Their plumage is highly pigment, usually green with a blue shade. They have a maroon tail like all other mutations of green cheek conure. They possess white eye-rings, green cheeks, and dark grey feet. They are small in size, usually up to 10 inches long, and weigh above 60 grams to a maximum of 90 grams.  All mutations of green cheek conure are the same in size, generally small.

This rare conure family takes up residence in treetop levels of forests and timberlands of Paraguay, northwestern  Argentina, Brazil, west-central southern Mato Grosso, and highlands of eastern Bolivia. They are highly easy-going parrot species otherwise most of the parrots are becoming endanger because of habitat destruction.
